Scott, 28.In an attractive quarter morocco clamshell case, with marbled paper covered boards.This is the Arrowsmith's Christmas Annual Edition, in the very scarce 'one shilling' paper wraps, rather than the usual cloth binding.With nine pages of advertisements to the start of the work, and a further sixteen pages of advertisements to the rear.A thrilling adventure novel, Haggard presents a third-person narrative that follows the journey of Reverend Thomas Owen as he seeks to carry out missionary work in south central Africa, amongst the Amasuka tribe. In the publisher's original paper wraps, housed in a quarter morocco clamshell case, with cloth covered boards. Externally, excellent. Light handling marks to boards, with minor edgewear to back strip head and tail. Clamshell case in fine condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright. Very Good Indeed
