The author based her book on over 100 first-hand 17th & 18th travel narratives, journals, captivity narratives to discover which plats and animals were used in North America before European foods were introduced. She provides over 90 recipies based on the original descriptions and also provides modified versions using modern ingredients and appliances. A fascinating concept and interesting book. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names and no bookplates. The covers are in nice condtion with no creases, tears or chips. This book appears to have been unread. First printing June 1997. This is an uncommon book.; B&W Illustration; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 90 pages; Signed by Author .
