First Edition UK (1968), so stated. First published in German in 1964. Published simultaneously in the USA by Fortress Press. Very Good+ in Very Good DJ: Both book and DJ show only minute indications of use. The Book shows a bit of dust-darkening to the top edge of the text pages; the mildest shelving wear along the bottom edge of the boards, with a touch of crimping to the heel of the backstrip; former owner's name at the top of the front free endpaper, but this has been whited-out and a number '14'; in ink remains at that spot; the binding is square and secure; the text is clean. Free of underlining, hi-lighting, notations, or marginalia. Free of creased or dog-eared pages in the text. A handsome copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing mild wear and minor, unobtrusive flaws. The DJ shows light wear to the extremities; mild rubbing to the panels; faint soiling to the white background field of the rear panel; a short closed tear at the top edge of the front panel; the price is unclipped, but there is a three-word note at the bottom of the front flap; the sky-blue upper portion of the backstrip has been ever-so-slightly sun-blanched (the white titles thereon remain clearly legible); mylar-protected. Not without flaw, but remains presentable and intact. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. (8.2 x 5.75 x 1.15 inches). 272 pages. Translated by S.H. Hooke. Language: English. Weight: 15.5 ounces. First Edition UK (1966), so stated. Hardback with DJ.
