Sir John Laforey, 1st Baronet, was a British naval officer in the eighteenth century. In contemporary full calf binding. Externally, sound, with some shelf wear to the boards and rubbing to the spines, joints, and extremities. Containing a bookplate of a previous owner to the front pastedown of all volumes of 'The Works'. Internally, binding is firm. Light spotting to the first and last few pages of each volume, and a touch of offsetting throughout, otherwise pages are bright and clean, especially considering the age of the works. Very Good
