About This Item

Heinemann, 1953. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Hardcover. Heinemann, 1953. 1st UK publication. Published in a smaller print run and one year before the more common US Winston edition. Not only was this UK edition published earlier, but Capon was a UK author so the Heinemann edition is preferred due to the "follow the flag" tradition in collecting. Very Good hardcover, full bound in brick red cloth with black lettering to the spine. Clean inside and out with no markings; binding is solid and square. Some light spotting/foxing to fore and top edges of page block. Very Good dust jacket with some light general edge wear, not price clipped.
