Sandhurst edition is an abridged and revised version of The World Crisis, which is Winston Churchill's history of WWI. Illustrated including maps and foldouts. Published 1933 by Thornton Butterworth, Limited (London), printed in the Great Britain. 511 pages.
NO dust jacket. Orange-red hardcovers show significant wear to include heavy spine lean, bowed and curved boards, noticeable tanning and sunfade to the spine and edges, nicks to the edges, bumped corners, worn-through spine head and tail, bumped spine head and tail, scratches, soiling, white spots, and shelfwear. Book is heavily cracked at page 510-511 with hard creases throughout the volume that will eventually crack (such as page 482). Boards bow as viewed from the top edge. The nicks to the edges have caused distorted edges and worn-through areas. Tanned and scratched textblock with spots, smudges/rubbing, stains, and soiling. There are brown and white spots and stains on several pages, to include the pastedowns, endpapers, and the first several pages. Half title page and the rear of page 511 are heavily tanned. There does not appear to be any writing. Overall, this book is in Acceptable or Fair condition.
