First Printing. In black cloth with illustration to front board with gilt that has faded. Gilt to type on faded spine rubbed off. Publisher's colophon blindstamped to rear cover. Spots rubbed through at corners with bump to bottom rear. Several spots each rubbed through to head and heel of spine with some chips and short tears. Small puncture to bottom of rear spine gutter and dent to spine. Some marks/spots to cloth of boards. Beautifully illustrated endpapers with period bookplate to front pastedown. A few chips to edges of ffep. Previous owner's name to page following ffep and some minimal splitting to top of front hinge at half-title page, but still solid. Rear hinge a little shaken with some splitting to top third at endpapers. Text block fairly clean with some tanning and some faint spots to page ends. In brand new high quality facsimile jacket.
