About This Item
Pittsburgh: University of Pittsburgh Press, 1972. First edition. Orange cloth; small 8vo. 62 pp. The first book by the award-winning poet (among other awards, his second book won the Lamont Poetry Prize) who died in 1996 at the age of 49. This is the scace hardcover issue, lacking the dust jacket. Levis was championed by fellow Californian Philip Levine who edited his posthumously published final book Elegy. A fine copy, the orange cloth bright; sans dj, which seems common with this book. Contemporary.
