Constable Young Books Ltd., 1963. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1963. First UK edition. 182 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Red cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. Former library copy, with heavy inserts, stamps and inscriptions to front endpaper and pastedown. Clean pages with light tanning and mild foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Coloured pencil markings to last page of the text, which remains clear. Binding remains firm. Some mild brown water stains to pp1-22 but text remains clear. Many creased corners. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Minor sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Book has a heavy forward lean. Minor wear marks to spine and boards.
Synopsis
A Wrinkle in Time is a science fantasy novel by Madeleine L'Engle, first published in 1962. The book won a Newbery Medal, Sequoyah Book Award, and Lewis Carroll Shelf Award, and was runner-up for the Hans Christian Andersen Award. It is the first in L'Engle's series of books about the Murry and O'Keefe families.

Great read for a kid, adult, or anyone who hasn't lost their sense of mystery and adventure. What if? What if time travel were as easy as L'Engle proposes? I still look for Mrs. Whatsit to point me in the right direction.
