Somerset Maugham's personal notebook. First edition, in the original publisher's cloth binding and clipped dust wrapper. A Writer's Notebook is William Somerset Maugham's published personal notebook. He kept a notebook from 1892, when he was around eighteen, until up to the date of publication. This was also during most of the years of his writing career. William Somerset Maugham was a writer of plays, novels, and short stories. This published notebook reveals much about his thought processes when writing.Prior owner's book plate to the front free endpaper. In the original publisher's cloth binding and clipped dust wrapper. Externally, very smart. There is some light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Prior owner's book plate to the front free endpaper. The dust wrapper is slightly worn to the extremities, with a few repaired closed tears and slight loss to the head of the spine, with light age toning and a few spots. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are very bright and clean. Near Fine
