London, UK: Chapman & Hall, 1876. Hardcover. Fair. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. xvi, 490, with 21 chromolithograph and 351 wood engravings. Bookplate. Red cloth with elaborately gilt tooled spine and gilt embossed front board. Top and fore text block edges untrimmed. 4to. A large and heavy volume which will incur an additional charge for overseas delivery. Spine sun-faded, loss at head, bottom quarter of backstrip missing. Text block edges tanned. Bookplate on front pastedown, front hinge cracked. Volume loose. Some foxing throughout, heavier towards prelims. Overall still very presentable.
