This commentary is intended for the use of Sunday/Sabbath schools. In Welsh. Comprising of both the Old and New Testaments, this work provides detailed explanations on the verse. Written by John Jones, Idrisyn. Jones was a biblical commentator and his work was written in a popular style. It ran into eight editions sold in both Britain and America. This is the fifth edition of the commentary. In a full diced calf binding with gilt stamping to the spine. Externally, worn, with heavy rubbing to the joints and extremities. Light patches of rubbing to the boards. Bumping to the extremities. Front hinge has failed with the backstrip lifted from the textblock. Rear hinge has also failed and work is lacking rear endpapers. Lacking front endpapers. Prior owner's inscriptions to the recto of frontispiece. Small closed tear and minor loss to the frontispiece at the tail of gutter. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are slightly age toned. Several leaves and flowers pressed throughout work resulting in minor offsetting. Scattered spotting to pages. Good Only
