Three very scarce mid nineteenth century Welsh language works bound together. In the original Welsh.A fascinating volume including two years of the magazine of the Calvinist Methodist Theological College, bound with moral textbook for the working class. The first two works present are the 1856 and 1857 volumes of 'Y Greal', with the final volume being the 1855-6 volume of 'The Peasant, or Monthly Teachings for the Social, Mental and Moral Growth of the Working Class'.With an inscription to the front free endpaper. In a half calf binding, with marbled paper covered boards. Significant rubbing to back strip and board perimeters. Vertical split in leather to centre of back strip. Losses to perimeters of marbled paper, with portions detaching. Hinges strained, with front hinge a touch tender, and rear hinge firmly held. Inscription to the front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages age toned to perimeters, with the odd spot and pencil notation throughout. Good Only
