Hansheng Magazine is an award-winning project dedicated to highlighting a specific aspect of Chinese cultural arts with each issue. It was founded in 1971 as the English magazine ECHO before shifting towards the Chinese-speaking audience, and is focused on preserving folk art, research, and high production values. The yangko is a form of ritual dance that is meant to harness the earth's natural yang energy and banish the winter weather.
