Lyon, Mississippi: Derrydale Press, 1994. Reprint Edition. Hardcover. Fine. 8vo 8" - 9" tall. Exceedingly scarce in the trade, being a consecutive run of seven volumes, an extremely handsomely produced set of the reprinted editions of the first seven volumes of Ye Sylvan Archer, which began publication in 1927 in Corvallis, Oregon (Go Beavers!). Printed beautifully by Douglas C. Mauldin of Derrydale Press, SIGNED by Glenn St. Charles, Commissioner of the Legends of the Longbow Library and Founder of the Pope and Young Club, in a special Limited Edition of 1,250 copies only. Sterling condition hardcover copies, with unbruised tips, tight bindings, and clean internals, showing only very slight shelf- and edge-wear; not ex-library, with neither underlining nor highlighting anywhere. Green textured leather covers with gilt lettering and illustration to fronts and spines, all edges gilt quite finely; one small patch of rubbed gilt to one top edge. Decorated endpapers. Double-column texts and replete with black-and-white illustrations, photographs and advertisements. Volumes contain scholarly apparatus in the form of, e.g., notes, index, and bibliography. Apparently unread, spines still crackle. Volume I: May 1927 to December 1929 (Volume 1, No. 1 to Volume 3, No. 4). Volume II: January-February 1930 (Volume 3, No. 5) to December 1931 (Volume 5, No. 8). Volume III: January 1932 to October 1933 (Volume 5, No. 9 to Volume 7 No. 5). Volume IV: December 1935 to December 1937 (Volume 7, No. 8 to Volume 9, No. 8). Volume V: January 1938 to December 1939 (Volume No. 9, No. 9 to Volume 11, No. 8). Volume VI: January 1940 to December 1941 (Volume 11, No. 9 to Volume 13, No. 8). Volume VII: January 1942 to December 1943 (Volume 13, No. 9 to Volume 15, No. 8). Apparently unread, spines still crackle.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
