(Betts: 8-16) First edition. Articles (General review of the year 1908 with biographical notes on Lasker, Duras, Schlechter, Rubinstein, Maroczy, and Atkins. A study in contrasts: Lasker v Steinitz, 1894; Lasker v Tarrasch, 1908 by P W Sergeant). Leading events of 1908 (Tournaments and matches reported with annotated games). Statistics. Problem section (includes 40 selected problems of the year with solutions, mainly 2 and 3 movers edited by P H Williams) Chess club directory. Condition: Soiled with some stains, spine eds and corners rubbed else about very good.
