Also inserted is handwritten letter, with written heading from "School for Christian Workers, Springfield, Mass, Dec. 10, 1886": Invitation to speak at the NY Soc. for Suppression of Vice, and signed by J. T. Bowen (whose name is impressed in gold on front cover), T. H. Hawks, C. L. Rogers, David Allen Reed, W.H.P. Farmer, E. V. Armstrong, L.L. Merrell. Also inserted is a printed blue letter about J. T. Bowne's work to gather "rare" materials for the YMCA Historical Library. Tipped in rear is penciled long list of invitees to Conference in Harrisburg, PA in 1886. 194 pp plus ads.
