LONDON: PYRAMID BOOKS , 1989 Burgundy Boards with gilt blocked titles to spine, 260 x 220 mm approx. 128 pp, Portrait frontis of author + many full page and in text colour botanical illustrations by the internationally renowned watercolour artist Christine Hart-Davies. First Published in 1879 as " A Year in a Lancashire Garden" this is a first printing of the illustrated edition1989 with a foreword by Frances Perry. The copy offered is inscribed in blue ink to the half title "With best wishes and signed by the illustrator. The book is from the libruary of fellow Botanical Artist the late Pauline Dean with her printed name and address label to the free front end paper. Near Fine/ Near Fine (Book- negligible shelf wear, previous owner printed label and illustrator signature as above.
