Paris: Éditions Buchet/Chastel (Corréa), 1957.. 8vo. 269, (3) pp. Fine contemporary full vellum, gilt and black lettering and ruling to the spine, the upper board decorated with musical notation in gilt and black, original card covers bound in at the front and rear, gilt speckled endpapers, lengthy inscription to the front flyleaves regarding Menuhin signed by a Madeline Guigou, whose initials, dated 1960, also appear on the spine. Black and white photographic illustrations throughout. A delightful and, no doubt, unique copy. Although the subtitle here is in English, the text of this edition is in French. The first English edition was published By Robert Hale the previous year.
