About This Item

1940 hardcover 1st edition with an inscription by the author on the front pastedown ("Mrs. N------- from Stuart Cloete") and a longer one from the author and his wife on the ffep to painter Everett Raymond Kinstler. No dj ,a lot of staining on cover, curve on back board, staining, notes and underlining on some pages, light tanning ,soil on edge, for all that, binding tight, still quite readable.
