Self Published. Single Sheet. Very Good. Frank Short. Frank Short mezzotint which is printed on a thick Japanese vellum. Signed in pencil by Short and by the printer Frederick Goulding. A very rich impression, the sheet has a light mount burn/mark, otherwise in excellent condition. Plate size 128 x 300 mm (5 x 12 inches approx)Sheet size 185 x 340mm (7.25 x 14 inches approx)Reference: Hardie 69: The mezzotint is after a watercolour by Peter De Wint, 1784-1849 and was made in 1889. Although not numbered, it is from an edition size of 250.Wensleydale is the dale or upper valley of the River Ure on the east side of the Pennines, one of the Yorkshire Dales in North Yorkshire, England.
