Contemporary half-leather, original wrappers bound-in. 340, (1) pages, 1 plate. First edition. This is a Presentation Copy from the author to Theodore F. Dwight, Librarian the Department of State, signed on the original wrapper--which is bound-in, a with a two page note from the author in its original stamped mailing envelope The study, written for the centennial gives a great number of details about t battle that ended the American Revolution. The bill for the leather bookbinding, from Pawson and Nicholson, Philadelphia, is laid-in. The front hinge has been repaired and their is light rubbing, else very good.
