Age tanning on cover. 48p. 46 photographs. Foreword by Hank Johnston. John Muir (1838-1914), also known as "John of the Mountains", was a Scottish-American naturalist, author, environmental philosopher, glaciologist and early advocate of preservation of wilderness in the United States. Ted Orland (b. 1941) was an assistant to Ansel Adams as well as an instructor at the Ansel Adams Yosemite Workshops for fifteen years.
