London: Published at 57 & 59 Ludgate Hill, London, E. C., 1901. First Edition . Decorative Cloth. Good. 4to - over 9" - 12" tall. Not dated, c.1901, a number of the signed illustrations are dated 1901. Size quarto, continuously paginated, 475 pages. Orange brown buckram cloth covered boards with illustration of mountain climbers and sports equipment in black, highlighted with gilt, and large gilt titles to the front cover, gilt titles and black illustration of sports equipment to the spine, brown floral patterned end-papers and paste-downs. Condition good, hinges cracked and loose, corners and spine ends rubbed, covers a little darkened around the outer edge, front floral end-paper missing, title contents page and pages 1/2 are detached but present, a little creased around the edges, other than this the pages and illustrations are very clean throughout
