Edges quite worn and scratched; A number of pages in the first 150 with pencil marginalia, otherwise contents very clean; Last text page and ads page have a tear and a couple small pieces missing.. 7.75" x 5.5"; Frontis illustration with facing tissue; pp. [2] List of Contributors, [1] blank, 5-945, [3] ads, plus 44 black-and-white illustrations on heavy stock; Bound in full pig-skin with marbled end papers and all paged edges gilt. Author was editor of Truth Seeker magazine. In the preface he writes that he had earlier taken a trip around Europe and written letters home to the magazine which were later published as a book, A Truth Seeker in Europe. Someone then proposed that he should do the same on a similar trip arund the world and offered to help fund his expenses. Reportedly, several hundred individuals areeg to participate in the funding (see list of Contributors mentioned in above).
