The separate map volume contains 70 historic maps and charts. The set is magnificent to say the least and weighs in at 14 pounds (6.5 kgs) As new in orginal shrink wrap. Limited edition of 200 copies. Another incredible publication from Geir Klover and the Fram Museum. I have know the author for a long time now and visited the Fram Museum on several occasions. Geir always amazes me with his museum and the incredible work he does editing and producing fresh and interesting publications. The Nansen Photographs and Maps volumes certainly are over the top in quality and research. The photos volume has reproduced every photograph taken during the expedition with personal diary entries from Nansen and the other crew. The maps volume reproduces Nansen's personal collection of maps brought on the Fram Expedition as well as the main maps that came out of the research. There are trade editions of the books but this limited edition set can hardly be topped. We only have 4 sets for sale am sure we will sell them all.
