Oxford at the Clarendon Press, 1953. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1953. Reprint. 741 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Contains black and white illustrated frontispiece. Shaky binding due to cracked hinges, but all pages remain attached. Pages are lightly tanned and foxed, heavier to endpapers, but text remains clear. Inscriptions to free endpapers. Boards and spine have minimal shelf-wear, with mild corner bumping and crushing to ends. Gilt remains bright. Heavy rubbing and scuffing overall.
