About This Item
New York: Political Action Committee for Palestine, Inc., Non Sectarian, 1946. Newspaper. Four-page newspaper on better quality paper, horizontal fold crease, some toning. Not found in OCLC, though there is likely an example in the Baruch Korff papers. Korff, who served as executive vice-chairman and whose name appears as the contact in documents reproduced here, had been the director of the Emergency Committee to Save the Jewish People during World War II. In 1947 he organized a Stern Gang plot to bomb the Foreign Office in London because of British limitations on Jewish settlement in the Jewish Mandate of Palestine. Years later, Korff became known as "Nixon's Rabbi" for his ties to the Republican president.
