London and New York: Macmillan & Co., Ltd., 1908. First Edition First Printing . Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Octavos. xv, 570; viii, 563 pages, indexed at the end of Volume II. Hardcovers bound in navy blue cloth. Rubbing and wear to the bindings, which are a little bumped and spotted. Top edges of the text blocks are a bit dust-stained. A sound set with secure inner hinges. Endpapers have some early signatures (A. S. Newlin for Angie Newlin of Greensboro, North Carolina). Front pastedowns appear to have removed bookplates. Text is a little toned but appears fairly clean.
