London: Blackie & Son, 1875. Hardcover. Good. 2 vols. frontises, illustrations, 10 maps (on 9 sheets), xii, 524, viii, 496p. Original decorated red cloth. 31 cm. Covers scuffed; frayed along extremities; stain on upper left corner of back cover on Vol. 2; and cloth almost entirely split along front joint of Vol. 1. Contents sound and clean with only minor foxing. An account of Marcoy's travel across Peru and Brazil to the mouth of the Amazon. This was a translation by Elihu Rich of Marcoy's "Voyage a travers l'Amerique du Sud, de l'Ocean Pacifique a l'Ocean Atlantique." Marcoy's real name was apparently Laurent Saint-Cricq.
