Translation, introduction, and notes by B. P. Moore. Illustrated with 20 black-and-white part-page and 10 two-color full-page pen-and-ink drawings by Eric Fraser. Copy #1087 of 1500 SIGNED by the artist on the colophon page. Monthly Letter laid in.
Synopsis
The Ars amatoria is a poem in three books by the Roman poet Ovid. It claims to provide teaching in three areas of general preoccupation: how and where to find women (and husbands) in Rome, how to seduce them, and how to prevent others from stealing them.
