Cocoa Beach: Red Mountain Editions, 1971. Hardcover. 83p., very good photo-offset reproduction of the original limited edition, third printing in dj. Protest poetry from a descendant of the Abolitionist family which produced Henry Ward Beecher. The poet worked in the steel mills of Alabama (where he began writing poetry) and covered the Southern Civil Rights Movement for Ramparts. Some stereotype black dialect used, poetry covers labor issues, civil rights issues etc.
