1880. Very good condition. Learn how to get into West Point from a veteran of General George Armstrong Custer's Yellowstone expedition which culminated in the Battle of Little Big Horn.

An advertisement for preparation for the entrance examination at West Point, offered at West Point by Lieut. Charles Braden (1847 - 1919). Braden graduated from West Point in 1869 and served under General George Armstrong Custer on the 1873 Yellowstone Expedition which culminated in the Battle of Little Big Horn. Also advertising "Good Board and Home Comforts" offered by a Mrs. M. L. Stewart of Highland Falls, including board at $7 per week, and $5 per week for the instruction. 5 x 8 1/4".

[With] One page circular advertising Edward Farrow's advice books on West Point, written by the man who later went on to write "Gas Warfare" (1920), which focussed on the tactical use of poison gas and chemical warfare. Verso of the circular lists "just published works", including 'Farrow's West Point Military System of Gymnastics and a System of Swimming', Farrow's 'West Point and the Military Academy' (with requirements for entering, System of Training, regulations, Instructions, Text Books, etc; 'Farrow's Pack Mules and Packing'; and Farrow's Mountain Scouting' (A Hand Book for Officers and Soldiers on the frontiers...).
