Half calf leather binding with marbled boards and marbled page edges. Spine has four raised bands with gilt decoration, blind decoration to compartments. Excellent solid binding with no cracking to joints. Slight rubbing to leather and to edges of boards. Previous owner's name and a few ink markings to title page, very clean text throughout. French language. Binding appears to date from 1829 as there is an additional advertising sheet bound in at the end of the book (for The Companion to the 1829 British Almanac). .
