Recently rebound in a 2-tone cloth binding (orange spine, red boards), brown calf title label to the spine. There is some minor spotting of the contents, else this book is in very good condition.

Includes portrait frontispiece in the 162 plates, with explanatory paper guards. No dust jacket. Boards are rubbed at edges and slightly soiled. Inside clean and tidy, with some light foxing throughout. Binding is sound with no shaking or loose plates. Overall in good condition. 290 x 230 mm (11½ x 9 inches) Première édition, deuxième édition reliée en toile bleue, avec le titre et la décoration en noir. Comprend un portrait-frontispice dans les 162 planches, avec des gardes de papier explicatives. Pas de jaquette. Les plats sont frottés sur les bords et légèrement salis. L'intérieur est propre et bien rangé, avec quelques rousseurs légères. La reliure est solide, les planches ne tremblent pas et ne se détachent pas. Dans l'ensemble en bon état. 290 x 230 mm

Very Good. 30cm;  [4], xxvi, [4] pages, 162 plates, some in color, all with printed and numbered overleaf. Bound in decorated cloth and (rare) dustjacket, protected in mylar. Somewhat toned but unblemished.

London: John Lane the Bodley Head Ltd, 1925. First Edition. Fine/Fine. Introduction by C. Lewis Hind. Fine in an about Fine jacket, unclipped (£2.20 net), a few small closed tears at the edges. Cream buckram with blue ink lettering and designs matching that of the jacket. Square and firmly bound with a black top stain, frontispiece of Beardsley, and profusely illustrated. A remarkable copy of this work that was published to be uniform with The Early Work and The Later Work. This copy comes with a contemporary letter on John Lane letterhead explaining a delay in printing the book because of "a late discovery of hitherto unknown work of Beardsley's.

Small homosexual-themed erotic bookplate or label on front pastedown, else fine in near fine dustwrapper with minor nicking, mostly at the spine ends, and a little toning. A very fine and handsome copy, the cloth very fine and fresh, the textblock extremely clean, the jacket in extraordinary shape, in all quite superb with no noticeable faults.
