Top page edges gilt; remainder untrimmed with some uncut pages in each volume. Qt leather spines and corners over marbled paper boards. Original blue leather on boards however spines now look brown. Bindings are tight and straight. Free of former owner writing or bookplates. Gilt designs and lettering on spines have modest wear however the spines have wear around crown of vol 2 and vol 1 has chipping amostly lower half long with some shelf rub to edges.
