New York: The American Alpine Club, 1979. 3rd edition. Hardcover. Very Good+/Very Good-. 9 1/4 x 6 1/4. 2K. Full cloth. A solid copy of this classic autobiography. This "3rd edition" appears to be a reprint of the first edition, with the addition of a preface by Hans Gmoser. With index. The book is in nice condition, with firm binding and good hinges. No marks of any kind. There is sun-fading around the edges, particularly at the foot of the spine. The unclipped dust-jacket is also sunned, especially the spine. with a little edgewear including a tiny tear at the spine-head; a few scratches to the front panel; and a crease to the front flap.
