Hardcover, brown cloth boards show spotting and soiling, mainly on the front, edges and corners lightly bumped/worn. Internal binding is good and text pages are tight, no signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no remainder marks, nothing torn or loose. The only evidence of handwriting found is on the front end page where you can see where an old bookstore price was penciled in the corner and then later erased. This is the first US edition after originally being published in London in 1951.
