Paris, Jardin des Modes, Conde Nast, (1932).. FIRST EDITION OF SECOND BABAR BOOK (1932 - only 1 other title listed on back of title page). Text in French. Slim folio, 370 x 270 mm, 14½ x 10¾ inches, original pictorial boards with red cloth spine, 48 pages, including title page, coloured illustrations throughout, mostly with text, some double page, pictorial endpapers of grey elephants on red background. Slight shelf wear to bottom edge of boards, some very small very light scratches to upper board, a couple of larger ones and some very light ones to lower board, pale brown vertical stain to inner margin of 2 facing pages, hardly noticeable, small ownership label to lower corner of front pastedown (Humphrey Whitbread) and his small neat pencil name on front endpaper, otherwise a very good plus copy.
