Ex library copy with associated labels, inserts, stamps and annotations. Contains some loose pages, edge tears and stains. Notable library inserts to front pastedown and endpaper. Library stamp to reverse of title page and top of 1st text page. Pages moderately tanned and thumbed with moderate foxing. Hinges cracked, with some exposed netting and a loose binding; pp1-10 loosening. Soil marks to bottom of pages 8-15. Red stain to p27. Boards have been notably rub worn. Heavy shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are bumped and frayed with exposed board. Spine ends are crushed, with noticeable splits and chips. Head of spine is heavily frayed. Small library call number to bottom of spine. Boards are a little bowed. Book has a prominent forward lean. Pronounced water marks overall. Large ring mark to front.

Publisher's black cloth with a pink label to the spine (with the title and author). The boards are exceptionally bright and clean. The top edge is a trifle dusty and there are a small handful of foxing spots to the fore-edge. There are no previous owner inscriptions. In the VERY RARE dustwrapper with the all-important price of 5/- to the inside flap. This is the cloth edition that was originally offered for sale at 5/- (there was also a paperback edition sold at the reduced price of 3/6). The grey dustwrapper has no wear, tears or pieces missing and is complete with the spine browned. There is NO RESTORATION to the dustwrapper.
