Tipped-in colour frontispiece to each volume and numerous black and white silhouettes and three-tone illustrations. Publisher's red and yellow pictorial covers, cloth spines lettered in black, illustrated green endpapers to first volume, pictorial dust-wrappers. A well-read duo with some occasional marks and thumbing within, owners inscription to each, covers moderately handled, fragile jackets with some chips and tears. Remains presentable. A uniform pair of Rackham's only 'silhouette' titles.

Includes the additional coloured plate not present in the trade edition.Pictorial green endpapers. 4to (11 5/8 x 9 1/8 inches), 110-pages. Original vellum-bacled parchment boards blocked in gilt, top edge gilt. The binding unfortunately with soiling & dust-marking, surface lifting on upper cover, scuffing to lower, headbands worn. However internally very clean. Worthy of a fine rebind and generously priced to allow for this.
