Some age staining within, not too deleterious. A contemporary inscription at the end of the Preface pertaining to authorship in a fine, neat hand. Osborne, p.229, cites only a 3rd edition with frontispiece dated 1828. A good example of very early binder's cloth, first used in England by Wm. Pickering in 1820-'21..
