Quarter bound in brown cloth with tan paper boards, brown lettering to front. Boards have some damp staining and darkening to edges, some rubbing to edges and wear to corners. Hinge cracking to interior, but binding remains firm. Ex libris bookplate of former United Nations staff interpreter Lt. Colonel Victor de Guinzbourg to front pastedown. A collection of quotations and aphorisms from the works of Confucious on such topics as virtue, heaven, knowledge and learning, governing, family, war, and music.
