In near fine black cloth boards; blind stamped titles to front and gilt titles to spine. The boards are very tight, straight and clean. Unmarked end papers and cut edges. The text block is tightly bound, square and clean - near fine condition - and excellent for 1950. With "over 200 illustrations specially drawn and engraved for the work". No dedications etc. Inside good beige dust jacket with red titles and red diagram to front. The jacket is quite clean, edge-worn with a few tiny open and closed tears. Not price clipped. In quality plastic cover.
