Unclipped jacket has heavy edge wear with some areas of loss, heavy tears, chips and creasing. Reinforced with tape to insides. Scuffing and light marking overall. Heavy splits to edges.

The covers are clean and firm; slightly bent front cover and a little shelf-cocked. Foxed and lightly tanned end papers; name and date on front paste down. Tinted navy cut edges. The text block is tightly bound and quite clean, with slight tanning around the page edges. With many charts etc. Very good condition. In poor yellow and red dust jacket held inside quality plastic cover. The jacket has most of spine area missing plus piece by front tail corner and tear along rear side flap. Not price clipped. "The Clevedon Community Bookshop Co-operative Bindery Team" have used Japanese tissue to join the two halves together. Very heavy.
