Bumping and wear along cover edges; some scuffing to cover. Inscriptions in ink and ink stamps to inside front cover, with partial old price label. Some browning to outer page edges. Contents are still generally very good - illustrations are nice and bright.

A selection of reprints from the News Chronicle. The first edition in this form. Very scarce. A children's annual from 1933 was published by the News Chronicle which was a daily British newspaper. The News Chronical was formed by the merging of the Daily News and the Dailey Chronical in 1930. It ceased publication in October 1960 being merged into the Dailey Mail. The pictures and stories were created by J. F. Horrabin an English socialist and Communist radical writer and cartoonist. Including five plates and numerous in-text illustrations. Collated complete. In the original pictorial boards. Bound in a quarter cloth. Externally vert smart. Light marks to the rear board. Rubbing to the front board. Internally firmly bound. Marginal age toning but generally, the pages are bright and clean. Very Good

Staples rusted leaving very small stains on endpapers. No inscriptions, pages clean. A few pages have a small marginal crease in bottom corner. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall
