Pages are tight, but have signs of use and edge of text block staining. This is the first printing of the 19th edition from 1951. A great classic of American cooking. Table of contents on back cover. Great look at cooking before microwaves and all of the modern conveniences we take for granted. Also a view of life when it was expected that women would do all of the cooking/food prep. .
