The work was one of the largest and most comprehensive anatomical atlases in its time." This is volume 2 only (not a complete set of all volumes). No figures missing. Leather cover with gilt lettering on spine. Woodcut frontispiece portrait of Loder. 182 tables consisting of multiple figures each. Some wear to covers (see picture), however has been collated, and binding is quite tight. Note in front end-page in light pencil. Trace of previous owner's signature on title page in ink.
