Description: Originally published in 1903; the most recent date given here is a 1931 copyright renewal; this edition from the Famous Dog Stories series is circa 1950s, and is not illustrated, other than three small black and white drawings (not credited). The jacket art bears the artist's signature, but I cannot make it out.
