Blue cloth boards underneath are clean and gilt is bright, exterior boards have no issues. Internal binding is good and text pages are tight. Pages are clean and bright with no handwriting, no bookplates, no library markings, no signatures. Also found within the book are two pieces of ephemera which are from the Hillwood House in Washington DC. One flyer talks about the tour along with the CW Post exhibit and the other flyer is a map of the Hillwood grounds. These are included with the book.

A small tear in the dj at the top near the spine and a couple of other smaller tears is the reason for the condition downgrade in the dust jacket. An oversized work of 318 pages, 14 chapters plus a genealogical section. Illustration is mostly black & white but there is some color illustration.
